A roofing family, since 1921
Fritz Becker started the business in Erie in 1921. The Beckers have been here ever since, on the same roofs and, for many of them, for the second or third time.
The family still answers for the work. Alexandra Becker reads each estimate, Josip Horvath runs the crews, and the same office takes your call.

How the family got here
- The founder
Step 1: 1921
Fritz Becker starts the shop in Erie, working on slate and sheet metal.
- Growing with the city
Step 2: The second generation
His son takes over the work and brings the crews to the new asphalt roofs going up on the east side.
- The yard on Parade Street
Step 3: The third generation
The firm gets a yard, a fleet and an office, and a second set of hands in the estimating room.
- Today
Step 4: The fourth generation
Alexandra Becker takes over the business and keeps the same rule: the person who writes the estimate stands behind it.
