Warranty
Two warranties, kept apart
A new roof carries a warranty from the shingle maker and one from us. They cover different things, and we keep them apart on paper.
The maker's warranty
Covers the shingles themselves, on the maker's terms. Whose life it counts, and what it covers, is in the maker's paper, which we hand over at the end of the job.

What neither one covers
Storm damage, anything done to the roof by someone else after we leave, and the ordinary wear of age. Your homeowner's policy is the place for storms.
